Attention students, there will be a test held on Friday, March 27. The test fee is $35 per student; $30 for each additional family member, registration is due by March 24. Testing will begin at 4:25pm for all the Little Dragons. Students testing for yellow, high yellow or orange belts will begin at 5:15pm and for anyone testing for high orange belt and above will begin at 6:00pm. If you have any questions please see Mr. Pierson. All students must be in full uniform (no t-shirts) and must have your notebook. There will be no classes held on this day.
Next Parents night out will be on Friday, March 20th from 6:30 to 10pm. You will need to sign up with Mr. Pierson by the 18th so we know how many kids to expect. The cost is $10 per child. We will be having pizza, snacks, movies, games and fun. Be sure to bring a water bottle.
All students who are high-yellow belt and above should have full sparring gear. You can get sparring gear price list from Mr. Pierson. You will especially need this equipment if you are attending intermediate/advance classes. Remember when you need any gear or uniforms to purchase it through the school. You support your karate school by seeing Master Pierson for anything you need!
Don’t forget you can earn karate dollars to purchase anything in the Asian world of martial arts catalog. If you sponsor a new student by bringing them to class and they sign up, you earn karate dollars. If you know someone who is thinking about starting the martial arts be sure to get them a VIP pass from Mr. Pierson.
Congratulations to the following people for completing their 1st Dan Blackbelt test: Ken, Lorrain Dave & Chris Verrill, Steve, Chris & Greg Koellner, Donovan Casey, Travis Guaracino & Marisa Snyder. Everyone did a great job!
Practice, practice, practice. Be sure you are practicing at home, especially if you have patterns. When you practice at home it helps you in class. Even if it’s just a few minutes a day, every little bit helps. Get mom and dad to help you. Green belts and above it is mandatory that you practice your patterns at least one time each on the days you don’t come to class.
